How You Can Support Runamuk’s Mission of Wildlife Conservation
Friends of the farm can help us grow and achieve our mission in a variety of ways...
If you’ve found this page, it’s likely you’ve been reading my work for a while and I thank you. My readers are special to me and I’d like to take this opportunity to make sure you know how valued and appreciated you really are.
At the Runamuk Acres Conservation Farm, we’re promoting the well-being of pollinators, soil microbial life, and other beneficial insects on our farm by employing methods of regenerative agriculture and bee-friendly farming. Conservation of these keystone species allows for the development of a more sustainable agricultural ecosystem that coexists in harmony with its larger ecosystem and eco-region. Friends of Runamuk can help us grow and achieve our mission in a variety of ways.
In the Area?
If you live near the farm in New Portland, Maine, or if you’re traveling through the region, you can visit and support the farm in person!
Visit the Farm: We encourage locals to stop by the farm just to see where their food is coming from, meet our super-friendly sheep, and learn more about the work we’re doing here. Lambing season or Shearing Day are open to visitors, too!
Tour the reserve: With well-maintained trails for walking, biking and snowshoeing, guests are encouraged to tour and explore our burgeoning wildlife reserve. We even have a map of the conservation acreage!
Camp at Runamuk: Our remote campsite offers connection with nature and plenty of peace and serenity. With a fire-ring for cooking, a picnic table and a camp-potty, your family will enjoy meeting the farm animals and exploring the reserve.
Shop the farmstand: Open seasonally, Runamuk’s “farmstand-on-the-porch” offers whatever we have available at any given time: eggs, vegetables, breads and baked goods, or lamb.
Become a Paid Subscriber

Buy a Gift for the Farm
Rather than buying me a coffee, how about buying a gift for the farm instead? Check out our Wish List at Amazon to see what we might need. Spend a little, or spend a lot, it’s up to you! Then, send your gift directly to the farm with Amazon-shipping. Easy peasy!
Make a Donation
Cash is always king and much needed to grease the wheels of this conservation farm. Right now we’re saving to build a new mini-barn with coop included, to house both our sheep and chickens through the long Maine winters. We also need more materials for fencing on the field to make rotational grazing easier for this solo lady-farmer. Any amount will be a help and greatly appreciated.
Grateful
Even if you are financially unable to offer any support, I’m grateful for your consideration. Just having you as a subscriber means the world to this wayward farmer, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
