Oh and congrats on your lunch lady wins! I had a neighbor who ran a large school kitchen and constantly looked for ways to make healthier, tastier lunches with her budget and mandated ingredients. She created new recipes and eventually they not only switched to some of hers, they asked her to train new kitchen supervisors. It’s just a different world when people care. Thanks for being one of those people. 🧡

It's tough for me to leave the farm, but the kids really make my day. 🥰

We don't get much snow here in Georgia but when we do people panic and go the store and buy up all the bread.

Hahaha! I've heard stories about the horrors of snow-days in the south. It's still much the same here when it snows. Less panic, but people will go to the grocery store to stock up on milk and beer.😅

In SC, they also buy up all the toilet paper - no matter what type of storm/crisis may be coming. We always laugh-like South Carolinians are obsessed with clean booties. 🤣

I’ve been reading your posts and had decided today to be a paid subscriber. Then you offered that sweet gift. Thank you! I have goats, dogs and cats…mostly rescues on a few acres. Someone recently offered us sheep and we had to turn them down because of space. I was quite sad. But I so enjoy reading about your farm. Thanks for getting up so early to keep us updated. I’m in SC near the beach, and it snows here about once every 9-10 years. The beach is absolutely gorgeous when it snows.

I recall buying a heavy doghouse for my Siberian Husky. In the heaviest New England (MA) winter storms, he would dig a hole in the snow and curl up IN FRONT of the house. Lead horse to water etc.

I'm enjoying your small acts of insurrection on the school menu front Sam! Is there any way (PayPal etc.) to send you a small one-off contribution by way of tribute and holiday cheer?

Keep up the good work. "See" you on Soil Day!

I can only find an "Upgrade to Paid" option wherever I look. I think the link you provided should work, but you should try to make it easier to find.
