That photo of the dog is so cute. I love eggs, one of my favorite things, makes such a huge difference when they are good quality. Btw, on my walk with my son we saw insect hotel at our local park!

I love reading about your ventures. I think your chickens are a bunch of naughties. I only have about thirty now and mostly they are in order. - I lock them up when the gardens begin to mature though! I hear ya on that one! I do love those eggs!

I think you're right about my chickens, lol. My son says my weird personality infects thise around me, so maybe its spread to the laying flock also.😆 Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!🙏

You should have mentioned how your first chickens gave me my hatred of chickens lol

I wanted to work that in, but in consideration of the length of the piece I left it out this time. ....don't worry, I'm sure there will be other opportunities to tell that story! 🤣

Now see what you made me do, Sam! My dining table top is now sprayed with coffee from slurping the Java and reading your essay simultaneously… I should know better, and still I read. Do you remember the Crop Circle phenomenon from a while back? What if the circles also serve as chicken containment?! Of course scaling down the circle size would be mandatory. As always I stand (sit) in awe of your operation!

Hahaha!😆 Glad I can make for an entertaining morning for you! And yes, I do indeed remember the crop circle phenomenon! I really wish containing the chickens were as easy as that lol...and that I had the UFO to do it in!!!😁🤩🙌

Thanks for being such a dedicated follower! Much appreciated! 🙏

Of course the eggs are a wonderful thing. But you’re forgetting about the parasite load in the sheep. It would skyrocket without them.

I completely understand those moments. I wouldn’t even remember the egg part…..lil phkrs!

Good point about the parasite load. Wish I had an easier way to rotate them on pasture again, but gotta work with what I've got.

Thanks for reading and commenting! 🙏

Early morning west coast reading my self hope back to sleep. Chicks clucking reminds me watching some for a friend. Left the coop and I found eggs everywhere just dropped. But gathered and deepest orange yolk eggs for anytime. Thanks for the adventure and a book to come.
